How to
Shut off the water
- Look for a valve where the line enters the house — often on an exterior wall, in a garage, or near the water heater.
- Turn it clockwise until it stops. Do not force a frozen valve until it snaps.
- If that does nothing, go to the meter at the front of the property. The city shutoff is there. A meter key helps; do not pry with a screwdriver if you do not have to.
- Open a faucet to confirm flow has stopped.
If you cannot find it or the valve will not move, stop and call (786) 756-3185. We would rather locate it than replace a broken stem.
